Y-Guy’s former Outback
Welcome to our website about our former Keystone Outback 28-RSS. I started this part of our website almost 4 years ago, and since it still gets frequent hits I figured I would update it. Since the days of owning our Outback we have owned a 2005 Keystone Raptor and now a 2007 Winnebago Sightseer 35J - but some of our fondest memories were in our Outback and the great friends we’ve made with folks from Outbackers.com.
In February 2004 our family moved up to a new 2004 Keystone Outback 28RS-S trailer. We'd had our previous Jayco Kiwi 23D since 2002 and felt we wanted more space and the idea of the quad bunkhouse and easier setup really appealed to us. Thanks to Dean at Pop Up Explorer our Kiwi found a new home too.
So far the Outback has been great, the kids get their own bunk area and we have the back half of the trailer. Setup is a snap and there is plenty of storage too. At 28' its long, but not a beast to tow. With great features like the outside cook stove, huge fridge and freezer and big kitchen we're set for short or long trips. We've been on a 900 mile trip to the Oregon Coast, staying at Jessie Honeyman and Beverly Beach State Parks, and we have two more big trips planned this summer. One to Farragut State Park in Northern Idaho and then again back to the Oregon Coast to Fort Stevens State Park, plus we'll be camping at Lake Easton and having fun at Silverwood Theme Park this year too.
As with all of our campers (Coleman Niagara and Jayco Kiwi) we set out to customize and modify to fit our needs. This website is pretty much all about our camper and some about our trips too. Thanks for dropping by and hope you enjoy.
